Last Tasted 6/94A surprisingly youthful dark ruby/purple color is followed by a moderately intense, still unevolved bouquet of cassis, earth, and spices. Rich, full-bodied, and supple, with outstanding concentration, adequate acidity, and a fleshy, glycerin-imbued, alcoholic finish, this terrific 1974 appears to have hit its peak, but it reveals no signs of decline. Bravo!
