The black cherry and violet-scented 1999 Chambolle-Musigny Vieilles Vignes is opulent, silky-textured, and well-concentrated. Loads of sugar-coated raspberries, cherries, and blueberries are found in this lush, feminine wine. It is medium-bodied, packed with dense layers of fruit, and has no hard edges. Drink it over the next 5-6 years.
