Much more spice-driven and savory, the 2013 Pinot Noir 3 D - which comes from a tiny 3-acre plot - is distinctly different than the other 2013s from this estate in both its aromatics and texture. Medium-bodied, juicy and balanced, with notable tannin structure, it exhibits lots of dried cherry and currant fruit, earth and dried herb characteristics on the nose. Give it a year in the cellar and plan on drinking bottles through 2023 or so.
