The 2006 Chianti Classico Riserva (Sangiovese) comes across as dark, earthy and rustic. It shows good depth but the aromas and flavors aren’t as clean or well-defined as they could be. Anticipated maturity: 2011-2016. Il Molino di Grace is one of the most perplexing wineries in Chianti Classico. Dried cherry, leather and dark choc cocoa - textbook stuff. Has depth conc and power. Muscular but retains frehsness. Savoury, woody toned and leather and red cranberry/currant fruit. Lovely nose, inviting and vibrant, plenty of cunchy red fruit charcters, nice perfume, complex. High acidity, vibrant and fresh, lots of blackfruit characters, tannins are soft, long and good depth on finish.
