The 2015 Pommard Les Vignots offers upfront black cherry, raspberry coulis and iodine scents on the nose, almost Volnay-like in style thanks to its precocity. The palate is sweet and candied on the entry, but there is decent structure here (as you expect with a Pommard) with grippy black fruit that segues into an elegant finish. This is a well-made Pommard les Vignots for those who relish a more fruit-driven style.
