Engel's best wine is his Grands Echezeaux. It is a fatter, more concentrated, expansively flavored, more complex wine than the Echezeaux. There are copious amounts of rich berry fruit wrapped intelligently in spicy oak. The wine shows excellent balance, soft tannins, yet good, zesty acidity. This wine should drink well until 1996-1997.
