Greenish straw. Spices, mint, minerals and flowers on the ripe nose, along with suggestions of ripe citrus fruits; I might have identified this blind as a Chablis. Densely packed and suave, with a restrained sweetness and a strong stony underpinning to its juicy citrus flavors. Picks up a bitter pear skin quality on the back half, which adds grip to the stony, very dry finish. Quite uncompromising for a New World chardonnay, with the depth to age.
