Pichler’s 2005 Riesling Smaragd Terrassen smells of lime red raspberry, then comes onto the palate with juicy citricity, yet lush generosity of flavor and a polished mouth feel. Tart red fruit and lime dominate its very satisfying finish as well, but a distinctive schistic stoniness is in evidence as well.
