The 2000 Riesling Smaragd Terrassen, produced mostly from purchased grapes, offers apricot, white flower, and peach aromas. This light-bodied wine has an expressive pear, stone, and gravel-laden character with excellent depth yet it suffers from a short finish. Drink it over the next 5-6 years.
