The 2007 Marina Cveti? Chardonnay is, without question, the white best suited to the estate's approach in the vineyards and cellar. Tropical fruit, French oak and sweet spices are woven together beautifully in this opulent white. All of the elements build beautifully towards the luxurious, enveloping finish. Anticipated maturity: 2011-2017.
Masciarelli is a reference point producer for rich, internationally styled wines from Abruzzo. Richness and ripeness are pushed to the extremes here, but when the estate is firing on all cylinders the wines are undeniably beautiful. Readers will have to accept less varietal typicity for the lushness these wines offer.
