Jost's two Spatlese offerings, AP #16 and AP #22 (fuder #22 also sports a one-star indication) are similarly-styled. Qualitative equals, they both offer extroverted, perfumed, ripe, flashy bouquets, luscious, rich, medium-bodied, off-dry, concentrated flavors oozing with fruit, and bold, spicy finishes. Readers who admire understated, super-refined Rieslings are forewarned that these are dramatic wines.
