The 1991 Gevrey-Chambertin displays deep color, a sweet, smoky, animal-like, meaty nose, and ripe, unctuous, thick flavors. Although lacking complexity, it offers a big, chewy mouthful of intense Pinot Noir. Drink it over the next 6-7 years.
