The 2005 “Old Adam” Shiraz was aged for 21 months in American oak with the best barrels selected for this cuvee. Deep crimson in color, the wine delivers a complex perfume of cedar, pencil lead, mocha, coffee, scorched earth, and blueberry. This is followed by a full-bodied Shiraz with dense, layered flavors of plum, black fruits, and chocolate. The finish is long and pure and there is enough structure for 6-8 years of evolution. It will provide pleasure through 2030. Importer: Jane Delaney, The Ravensvale Group, Naples, FL; www.bremerton.com.au
