There are no such issues with the 2004 Lanciano Reserva, a blend of 80% Tempranillo and 20% Mazuelo aged in barrel for 18 months. Purple in color, it sports a captivating nose of toast, tobacco, incense, espresso, lavender, and black cherry. Mouth-filling on the palate, it has layers of fruit, a plush personality, and a sense of elegance. It will continue to blossom for several more years and offer a drinking window extending from 2014 to 2029.
