The 2004 Reserva Marti is a blend of Merlot, Syrah, Tempranillo, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Petite Sirah aged for two years in “200%” new French oak (after 12 months the wine was racked from one set of new barrels into another). The bouquet reveals the oak treatment but it does not dominate. Aromas of spice box, mineral, black currant, and blueberry are attractive. This leads to a smooth-textured, firm wine with all components integrated. It will evolve for 2-3 years and provide optimum drinking from 2012 to 2024.
Albet I Noya was the first producer of organic wines in Spain.
