The deep ruby color of the 1991 Vosne-Romanee-Les Beaumonts is followed by a tight but promising bouquet of berries, spices, and vanillin. While some tannins are evident, the wine possesses good depth, ripeness, and a medium-bodied personality. Drink it between 1996-2003. Importer: Kobrand, Inc., New York, NY.
NOTES ON THE 1992s FROM BARREL: Jadot's 1992 reds appear to be fruitier, more charming and attractive wines than the 1991s. Not as powerful nor as tannic as the 1991s, they display seductive, velvety textures and loads of sweet fruit. They are particularly strong in Jadot's extensive Cote de Beaune portfolio. Moreover, prices for the 1992s will be lower, making them attractive buys.
