Even better is the 2008 Valtuille La Cova de la Raposa. A glass-coating opaque purple color, it offers up an aromatic array of exotic spices, violets, black cherry, and black raspberry. More structured than the Centenarias cuvee, this complex, pleasure-bent offering requires at least 5-6 years of additional cellaring and is likely to see its 20th birthday in peak form.
