Salomon’s 2007 Gruner Veltliner Lindberg Reserve reflects its cool, breezy origins (between the Kogl and Wachtberg) in strikingly intense aromatics and bracing acidity. Lentil, chrysanthemum, and lychee in the nose set the themes for a satisfyingly juicy, bright, yet texturally rich mouthful of persistent flavor. This should develop nicely for at least 4-5 years. You constantly had to change your plans during harvest, commented Berthold Salomon, whose crew picked from late September well into November.Importer: Terry Theise Estate Selections, imported by Michael Skurnik Wines, Inc., Syosset, NY; tel.
