Larry Turley and Ehren Jordan told me that their 1998 Zinfandel Dogtown Vineyard (16.5% alcohol) produced a mere two-thirds of a ton of fruit per acre. An intriguing wine, it reveals a Provencal-like, black cherry and garrigue aroma with scents of the seaweed wrap used in sushi preparations called nori.
