More backward with higher acids as well as more noticeable tannins than the Temblor, the 2005 Pinot Noir Deer Camp possesses a deep ruby/purple hue in addition to a tight, earthy, pomegranate, and mineral-dominated bouquet. This is one for the cellar. Dry and savory, it shows powerfully ripe blackberry, cherry, cassis and coffee flavors that have been well oaked, and the silky, elegant texture of Pinot Noir.
