The 2006 Pinot Noir Seascape Vineyard is somewhat lean and austere, with some hardness as well as angularity. This wine comes from a cool site, and it appears to have struggled to gain full phenolic maturity in 2006. After two challenging vintages for Zinfandel (2005 and 2006), 2007 offers considerable promise for a return to the beautiful ripe fruit and seductive power of Zinfandel.
