The 2012 Garnacha is produced with destemmed grapes in open lagars with some foot treading. The wine aged for ten months in American oak barrels. It has a creamy nose, almost sweet, a lactic touch but not necessarily what we associate with American oak (coconut, vanilla), red and black fruit and a toasty background. The palate is medium to full-bodied with abundant, grainy tannins that would require some time in bottle as they give a dry finish. 13,600 bottles were produced.
