Tasted blind, the 2015 Chevalier-Montrachet Grand Cru Demoiselles performed extremely well, offering up a reserved bouquet of white flowers, preserved citrus, toasted nuts and oak vanillin. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied, powerful and very concentrated, with a deep, multidimensional mid-palate, racy acids and a long, saline finish. This is carrying quite an overt framing of new wood, but it's a seriously structured and beautifully balanced Chevalier-Montrachet that will warmly reward patience. It's bottled under Diam 30.
