Isole e Olena's 2005 Chianti Classico is a pretty wine to enjoy over the next few years. Floral aromatics follow through to a well-articulated expression of small red fruits, wild herbs and tobacco, with a very pretty, almost Pinot-like clarity. This delicate, feminine Chianti Classico offers excellent length as well as balance, two qualities that were hard to come by in this vintage. Anticipated maturity: 2008-2010. This Chianti Classico strikes a beautiful balance between elegance and intensity. It has both and its pretty aromas of wild berry, rose, ginger, anise and spice come forth in a continuous, steady manner.
