Year in year out Isole e Olena’s Chianti Classico is one of my favorite wines of the region. The 2004 presents attractive aromatics and plenty of clean, focused fruit along with varietal tobacco, herb and earthy notes. Its excellent balance, fine tannins and accessible personality make it a highly enjoyable wine to drink now and over the next five or so years. Anticipated maturity: 2007-2012.
