The 2008 Pinot Noir Renelle’s Block Reserve spent 18 months in 40% new oak. Wood smoke, earthy minerals, vanillin, clove, rose petal, and black cherry aromas compose the bouquet of this layered, spicy, dense effort. Like many 2008s, it will benefit from 1-2 years of additional cellaring and offer a drinking window extending from 2013 to 2020. There are three late-released 2008 offerings from designated estate parcels.Tel. (503) 472-3976; www.cdtvineyard.com
