The 2003 is a surprisingly dense, deep ruby/purple-colored wine possessing loads of smoky black cherry fruit as well as a hint of truffles. Plump, corpulent, and fruity with low acidity, it is an undeniable success for a 2003 Pomerol. Enjoy it over the next 7-10 years. This up-and-coming estate is in the capable hands of Alain Moueix. Prices are realistic for such a limited production Pomerol.

Aromas of blackberry, cherry and light spice follow through to a full-bodied palate, with good tannins and a medium finish. Slightly one-dimensional on the palate, but a very good wine. Best after 2009. 5,830 cases made. -JS
