The 2014 Pinot Noir Ribbon Ridge was picked between 9 September until 26 September under warm and dry conditions; the vines are planted on sedimentary soil that tends to be well drained and is usually the first to be fixed. I find that it does not quite have the precision of the 2013 Coast Range, more reserved with a light marine influence coming through with time. The palate is medium-bodied with a sweet, slightly candied entry with brown spices infusing the red berry fruit, smooth in texture, but just needing more complexity to come through on the finish. Not bad, but to be candid it is not my pick from Trisaetum in 2014.
