Made from a vineyard planted in 1960, the Reserve Shiraz cuvees are aged in 100% new oak (75% American and 25% French). The 2001 Shiraz Reserve reveals more complexity than the fine 2002 Shiraz Reserve. This wine is dark ruby/purple-hued with plenty of sweet plum, black currant, and cherry fruit interwoven with notes of licorice, scorched earth, and vanilla. It is capable of lasting 5-10 years.American Estates Wines, Inc., Summit, NJ; tel. (908) 273-5060
