The 2014 Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru les Grands Montagne, which comes from vines on white stony soils, is matured in 40% new oak. It has a nicely poised bouquet with hints of almond and white tea that gently unfolds in the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with crisp acidity, a fine mineral core and a touch of lime towards the elegant finish that lingers in the mouth with captivating salinity that leaves you thinking…yeah, I’ll have another sip of that.
