The 2013 Chassagne Montrachet 1er Cru la Grande Montagne, which comes from a parcel of 24-year-old vines, has a mineral-led bouquet that is focused and intense, quite strict at first, but demonstrating great terroir expression. The palate is peachy and ripe on the entry: hints of orange peel and tangerine, a keen thread of acidity and a slightly honeyed finish that is caressing and long. This is a voluminous Chassagne that should drink well over the next 15 years.
