The 2003 Dulce Monastrell (100% from the winery’s oldest vines) is a dessert wine in the style of Banyuls. It offers intriguing notes of mocha, coffee, blackberry liqueur and raisins, vibrant acidity, superb concentration, and a long, pure finish. It would be an excellent match for chocolate desserts. It is drinking well now and should last for several more years if not longer.
