The 2007 Coome Farm Vineyard Chardonnay is a single vineyard wine coming off Mendoza clone vines. It is made similarly to the previous Chardonnay with a slightly larger proportion fermented with natural yeast. There's a little funk on the nose with some matchstick and meal plus an undercurrent of apricot and honey-nut aromas. Crisp and concentrated, this medium-bodied wine has a nice silky texture and some minerals in the long finish. Delicious now, it should cellar to 2015+.
