Tasted blind at the Burgundy 2012 tasting in Beaune. The 2012 Puligny Montrachet 1er Cru les Enseigneres is missing some tension on the nose, perhaps a touch too much sulfur and a little too generous on the old oak here, though it does have commercial appeal. The palate is balanced with a lightly spiced entry, fairly good weight on the back palate but the oak tends to dry out the finish a little. Drink in the near future.
