Saturated bright ruby. Slightly exotic chocolatey ripeness to the aromas of dark fruits, loam, tobacco, eucalyptus and caraway seed. A distinct step up in energy and minerality from the Finca Mirador and much more tight-grained and backward in the early going, with a minty nuance contributing to its light touch. Offers a sexy hint of sweetness without any impression of thickness. This fresh, juicy Malbec finishes with lingering notes of crushed thyme and stony minerality and good tannic grip. It has the balance for graceful evolution in bottle; while it may never be particularly fleshy, it should gain in complexity with aging. (the highest in acidity of these three single-estate wines)
