Want to know what an average terroir from Pommard can achieve if some effort is put into it? Try Dancer’s chewy-textured, concentrated 2002 Pommard Les Perrieres. Produced from vines planted in 1953 that yielded 20 hectoliters per hectare in this vintage, this wine was aged in 50% new oak. Violets, super-ripe grapes and black cherries are found in its perfumed aromatics. Armed with beautiful depth, it presents loads of sweet blackberries and cherries in its complex personality. My notes read “Yippee!” Drink this beauty over the next 5-6 years.
