The 2006 Franciacorta Contessa Maggi Brut is a gorgeous blend of 70% Chardonnay and 30% Pinot Nero with compelling ripeness and rich aromas of Golden Delicious apple, pear and dried apricot. Layers of aromatic complexity pile on thanks to crushed mineral, candied fruit and delicate Indian spice. A spicy endnote of peppermint rides long on the finish. Drink: 2015-2020.
Montenisa is the 60-hectare Franciacorta estate run primarily by the three Antinori daughters, Albiera, Allegra and Alessia. . All these wines are imported to the United States except the Contessa Maggi Riserva.
