The outstanding 1995 Special Reserve makes me think that its 1996 sibling will certainly come around with more time in barrel. The 1995 Special Reserve, a blend of 90% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Cabernet Franc, and 5% Petit Verdot, possesses a deep ruby/purple color, a spicy, ripe, concentrated character, tight aromatics, but enticing quantities of red and black fruits, minerals, and pain grille notes. This elegant wine should repay readers willing to cellar it for 5-6 years. It appears to have all the necessary raw materials to last for two decades or more.I am impressed by what has emerged to date from this relative newcomer's small 1,500 case production from their estate vineyards on Diamond Mountain.Tel.
