A step down, but still a solid effort, the 2011 Cairanne Reserve Des Seigneurs (a tank aged blend of Grenache, Mourvedre and Syrah) exhibits notions of blackberry, ground pepper, leafy herbs and spice. Medium-bodied, nicely focused and structured, with fine tannin emerging on the finish, this enjoyable, quality effort should drink nicely for 4-5 years.
