The 2008 Bayo Oscuro Syrah received the same elevage as the Lucero cuvee. It offers up an enticing nose of smoke, game, bacon, lavender, and blueberry that jumps from the glass. In the mouth it displays an elegant personality, succulent flavors, good balance and a lengthy, pure finish. Give it 1-2 years to fill out and drink it from 2013 to 2018. The Kingston family owns a 300 acre hillside vineyard in cool-climate Casablanca 12 miles from the Pacific Ocean and 900 feet above sea level.
