The quasi-modern-styled 2009 Chateauneuf du Pape Marceau exhibits a dark ruby/purple color along with attractive notes of smoked herbs, barbecue embers, kirsch and black currants. Fresh, ripe and medium to full-bodied, it can be drunk now, but should be even better in another year or so, and will last for a decade. No known American importer.
