The 2013 Pouilly Fuissé is a blend of several tiny parcels in Chaintre and, unlike the other crus, sees around 5% used barrel maturation. It has an elegant nose, although it is very backward at the moment, with hints of pink grapefruit and apricot blossom. The palate is very well-balanced with crisp acidity, quite backward and tightly coiled with touches of pear and nectarine toward the finish. What a delicious, expressive Pouilly-Fuissé.
