The 2007 Pepper Bridge Vineyard is an even bigger, more structured wine. A blend of 48% Merlot, 44% Cabernet Sauvignon, with the balance Malbec and Petit Verdot, it was aged in 49% new French oak for 20 months. A dense purple in color, it gives up an aromatic array of pain grille, pencil lead, Asian spices, incense, black currant, and blackberry. It has substantial ripe tannin and will require 4-6 years of cellaring to perform optimally. Its drinking window will extend from 2014 to 2027. Tel.
