The 1989 is probably the best wine produced at Beau-Site since 1982. Deep ruby/purple in color, with a moderately intense bouquet of super-ripe cassis fruit, minerals, and spicy oak, this medium-bodied, moderately tannic, concentrated wine has more power and opulence than most vintages of Beau-Site. Drinkable young, it should age gracefully for up to a decade. Anticipated maturity: Now-2000.
