The 2014 Saint Aubin 1er Cru Les Combes Au Sud is a new offering from the domaine, from a 0.24-hectare plot of land that was either fallow or recently replanted, subsequently blended into other premier crus until now. It has an attractive pear and peach skins-scented nose, quite phenolic with good definition. The palate is rounded on the entry with subtle tropical tones: pineapple and quince, matched by a fine line of acidity and a composed, quite weighty finish. Enjoy this over the next five years. Three barrels made.
