The 2018 Malbec Gran from Campo Los Andes in the Uco Valley was aged for 18 months in French oak: 1/3 in foudres, 1/3 in used barrels and the rest in tanks. Vivid purple in hue. The nose offers clear aromas of ripe plum, cherry and violet with a hint of thyme kept cohesive by secondary notes from the aging process. Juicy with fine tannins enlivened by the freshness, it grows more profound as it goes on while the finish lingers at length.
