Flechas de Los Andes produces this estate Malbec with grapes from Vista Flores, Uco Valley. The first third was aged for 18 months in foudres, the second third in used barrels, and the rest preserved in stainless steel tanks. The result is a dark, deep violet color in the glass, and very complex initial aromas of hazelnut and oak followed by raisin, plum, thyme and a hint of violet. Juicy with grippy young tannins, it is a powerful, enjoyable wine. Best kept for around five years.
