The 2008 Paso a Paso Verdejo is the first Verdejo made in La Mancha. Medium straw-colored, it reveals notes of mineral and fresh lemon. Medium-bodied, crisp, and tasty, this nicely balanced effort has a refreshing finish. It is a very good value considering that most Verdejos from Rueda begin at an average of $14. Initially, lemony aromas and flower notes stir interest, while the palate has a medium-to-full feel and pumped-up melon and floral flavors. But with time it grows softer, more pithy and dull.
