The 2011 Pinot Noir Emery comes from a variety of clones and spends 14 months on French oak barrels. The nose here is very attractive with lifted floral red berry fruit, well defined and perfumed, with a Burgundian purity and allure. The palate is medium-bodied, with supple red berry fruit, smooth in the mouth with no rough edges and fine salinity toward the finish. Understated in style perhaps, yet thoughtfully crafted, this is one of the estate's best 2011s.
