This is Masi’s main Amarone bottling, and it’s a beauty. Toasted almonds and ripe cherries mark the nose, while the structure of the wine is round and lush without ever seeming overly full or soft. Made in a dry, food-friendly style, with some firm tannins on the finish, this is approachable now, but looks to be capable of aging 5–10 years.——J.C.(12/31/2006)—— 90
